He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas R. Long and Mariah Estelle Hillis Long; and his siblings, Evangeline, Lloyd, Sadie, Herbert, Clifford and Dean.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah Knox Long; his children, Heather Hammond, Michener and Scott; and his grandchildren, Anne, Austin, Callie, Joshua, Kyndl, Mariah, Nicci and Savannah. He is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews and their children.
