With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Katie Faye Evans of Dawsonville, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 25, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ellis Cox and Josephine Russell Cox; her sister Mary Gray Harris (Cox); and her son-in-law Jim Weatherford Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Oscar Evans of Dawsonville; her children, Derek Evans (Stacy) of Columbia, SC and Marcy Weatherford of Dawsonville; her grandchildren, Jared Evans (Leah), Ashley Porter (Travis), Lauren Lashway (Paul), Trey Weatherford (Anna), Evan Weatherford (Amanda) and Carson Weatherford (Erin); and her great grandchildren, Brinley, Marley, Sutton Evans, Knox, Cruz Porter, Roswelle, James Kate Lashway, Ellis, Lennon, Henry and Reed Weatherford.
