It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sylvia Ann Bailey of Dawsonville, Georgia, born in Cumming, Georgia, who passed away on December 7, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Sylvia may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Sylvia touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband Larry Allen Bailey; and her sister Shelby Jean Jones. She is survived by: her children, Michael A. of Dawsonville, Melissa Bailey of Dawsonville, Phillip of Dawsonville and Katrina Bailey of Dawsonville; her grandchildren, Lexie, Lakyn and Logan; her brother J. L.; and her sister-in-law Donna Garmon of Jackson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Bearden Funeral Home (334 Hwy 53, Dawsonville, GA 30534). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Liberty Baptist Church (280 Liberty Church Rd, Dawsonville, GA 30534).
