He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann McCorkle; his children, D. E. "Skeetter" McCorkle, Beverly Ann McCorkle Welch and Kenneth Welch; his grandchildren, Benjamin (Betsy), Daniel McCorkle and Candace Schumann (Tyler); his great grandchildren, Madison, Aragorn and Carter; and his brother Jack McCorkle (Diane).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to C.S. McCorkle (CSM) Ministries—a Christian ministry started by Don's dad which distributes gospel booklets that he wrote.
