He was predeceased by: his mother Caroline Hill Ridley Howard (Dozier) of Decatur; and his brother John Ridley Howard. He is survived by: his former wife Barbara Marshall Howard of Decatur; his children, Lindsey Howard Braren (Fritz Braren) of Jacksonville, FL and Dozier Robson Howard, Jr. of Atlanta; his grandson Porter Howard Braren of Jacksonville, FL; his brother Pierre Howard Jr. (Nancy B. Howard) of Atlanta; and his nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Howard Newton, Caroline Howard of Atlanta, Ridley Howard, Jr. of Athens, GA and Christopher Howard of Atlanta.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home & Crematory (2773 N Decatur Rd, Decatur, GA 30033). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to Decatur Bulldog Boosters, https://decaturbulldogboosters.ptboard.com., which was very meaningful to him.
