She was predeceased by: her former husband Harold G. Merritt; her husband John R.; her son Jonathan O'Neil Merritt; her great grandchild Trinity Cummings; her sister Marie; her brother-in-law Colon Butler; her brother Harvey Rooks; and her parents, Leonard Grady Rooks and Gladys Mae Rooks (Milner).
She is survived by: her children, Jan Brumbelow (Rick), Carol Minotti (Mike) and Mark Merritt; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Darlene Cummings, Michael Brumbelow (Courtney), Cristina Story (Steven) and Michael Minotti; her sister Carolyn Bohler; and her stepdaughters, Linda Marcet, Laura Morgan and Leila Walsh (David). She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
