He was predeceased by: his parents, Gus Lockhart and Dossie Mae Easter; his former wife Frances Smead Sturges; and his siblings, Ira Roach, Elisha Roach, King Curry, Bobby Lockhart, Bruno Curry, Jr., Leon Lockhart and Ida Mae Russ.
He is survived by: his close friend Mamie Flemings; his daughter LaTonya Lockhart Irving (Samuel); and his sister Fannie Mae Watson Mt. He is also survived by grand children, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends.
