She is survived by: her siblings, Rachel Whitmore of North Wilkesboro, NC, David Barnes of Moravian Falls and Donald Barnes (Crystal) of Clemmons, NC; and her close friend Rainey Woodward. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home (270 Armory Rd, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Reins-Sturdivant Chapel (270 Armory Rd, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659). A burial was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 at the Scenic Memorial Gardens (545 Moravian Falls Rd, Wilkesboro, NC 28697).
She also served for seven years as treasurer and board member of the Women in Technology Foundation.
