He is survived by: his children, Valerie Reese Hills (John), Carol Reese Nesmith (Ernest) and James Donald Reese, II; his grandchildren, Felicia Dennard (Bakari), Courtni (Michael Lockett), Tyler Reese, Jonathan Hills, Ashley Williams (Charles), Austin Nesmith and Parker Reese; and his great grandchildren, Bakari Dennard, Jr., Imani Dennard, Jaxon Lockett, Jett Lockett, June Lockett, Sloane Williams and Snoh Williams. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Legacy Funeral Home (8968 Fayetteville Rd, Jonesboro, GA 30238). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Faith Missionary Baptist Church (6712 W Fayetteville Rd, Riverdale, GA 30296).
