We announce the death of James Terrell Williams of Decatur, Georgia, who passed away on July 16, 2026, at the age of 92. James Terrell will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. James Terrell will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. James Terrell’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Williams and Mary Williams; his children, Shelly Lifsey and James T. Williams Jr. We (Sandra Simpson); and his caregiver Jim.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Lou Williams; and his children, Charlie Williams (Isabel) and Julie Carter (Lance). He is also survived by six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
