Jon Scott Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jon Scott of Decatur, Georgia, born in Elberton, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 28, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Jon shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Jon farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Harold Scott, Sr. and Vernice Dora Hendrix; and his brother William "Bill" Scott, Sr. of Walhalla, SC.. He is survived by: his daughter Joni Lynne Scott (Ginger) of Avondale Estates; his grandson Grey Scott; and his siblings, Mike Blackston (Louise) of Elberton, Roy Scott of Macon, Estelee Pierce (Gene) of Hartwell, Jimmy Scott of Elberton and Elizabeth Cook (Doug) of Hartwell. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hartwell Golf Club Clubhouse (755 Golf Course Rd, Hartwell, GA 30643).
