With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jose Marquez (Decatur, Georgia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 10, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Jose departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Jose may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Jose leaves behind.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Griselda Marquez; his children, Fransisco Marquez and Alexander Marquez (Lauren); and his grandchildren, Kylie J. Marquez, Fox K. Marquez and Alexander C. Marquez.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home & Crematory (2773 N Decatur Rd, Decatur, GA 30033). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
