With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Larry Barnes (Decatur, Georgia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 9, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Larry is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Larry's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He is survived by: his daughter Janekia Barnes McRae (Eugene); his grandsons, Camaro Ruth, Eugene McRae, Jr., Ashton Barnes and Noah McRae; his great grandchild Jamarcus Olivet; his brother John Barnes; and his daughter-in-law Felicia Barnes. He is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Donald Trimble Mortuary, Inc. (1876 2nd Ave, Decatur, GA 30032). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Donald Trimble Mortuary (1876 2nd Ave, Decatur, GA 30032).
