We are sad to announce that on February 4, 2025, at the age of 93, Phoebe Lockwood of Decatur, Georgia, born in New York, New York passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Phoebe Lockwood to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her significant other John Lockwood. She is survived by: her children, Carol Lockwood Rice (David), Tom Lockwood (Amy), Alan Lockwood, Jim Lockwood (Dedra), Dorothy Lockwood Dillard (Randy) and David Lockwood (Amanda); her grandchildren, Ryan Rice (Kelli), John Rice (Lauren), Thomas Lockwood (Anna), Daniel Lockwood, JP Lockwood, Elizabeth Lockwood, Evangeline Dillard, Ruby Dillard and Richie Dillard; and her great grandchildren, Baxley Rice, Jackson Rice and Phoebe Rice. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home & Crematory (2773 N Decatur Rd, Decatur, GA 30033). Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 11:45 AM to 1:45 PM at the same location. A wake was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 9:00 PM at the Special New School. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Georgia National Cemetery.
