He was predeceased by: his father James E. Grimes. He is survived by: his mother Avis Laverne Grimes Wooten; and his siblings, Cindy Thompson, Amanda Thompson, Candice Hutcheson (Jeff), James E. Grimes, Jr. (Tina) and Donald Grimes (Kim). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
