It is with sadness that the passing of Scherrie Simon of Decatur, Georgia is shared. Scherrie, born on February 5, 1953, passed away on October 14, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Scherrie will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Scherrie by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Scherrie is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Scherrie’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She is survived by: her daughter Tabiatha Penson (Kendron); her siblings, Helen Samae Hughes and Raine Sorrells-Adawale (Edgar); and her grandchildren, Kendron Penson, Jr. and Kourtney Penson. She is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Central United Methodist Church. A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
