He was predeceased by: his parents, James Elwood Harris and Electa Archer Harris; his sister Linda; his brother-in-law Cecil Lewis; his stepson Joey Oliver; and his sister-in-law Mary Harris.
He is survived by: his children, Jay Harris of Atlanta and Cassie Harris Smith (Kody) of Dublin; his stepsons, Kendall Oliver (Belinda) of Dublin and Timmy Oliver (Leigh) of Dublin; his grandchildren, Carter and Kayden Smith; his siblings, Hugh Harris of Deepstep, Iva Griffin (Irvin) of Milledgeville, Kyla Andrews (Al) of Deepstep, Lee Harris (Judy) of Alabama and Paul Harris (Judy) of Bartow; and his pet Torro. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Deepstep Community Church (9968 Deepstep Rd, Sandersville, GA 31082). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Deepstep Community Church, c/o Stacey Brown, 97 Club Forest Drive, Tennille, GA 31089.
