He was predeceased by: his parents, Hezekiah Tench and Viola Ivie Tench; and his siblings, Dan Tench, Dewey Tench, Hoyt Tench, Dorothy O'Neal, Helen McGaha and Doris Stamey.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnell Chambers Tench of Demorest; his sons, Cranford Milton Tench of Demorest and Charles Steven Tench of Potomac, MD; his grandchildren, Adam Eugene Tench, MacKenzie Tench, Meredith Tench Rael and Megan Tench; and his brother Douglas Tench.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel (245 Central Ave, Demorest, GA 30531). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Yonah Memorial Gardens (255 Central Ave, Demorest, GA 30535).
