He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Lomax and Crawford Lomax. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia; his children, Tracey Burton (Wesley), D. J. Lomax and Kyle Sewell (Jennifer); and his brothers, Doyle Lomax, Randy Lomax (Kay) and Shannon Lomax (Karen). He is also survived by ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the McGahee-Griffin & McEntire Funeral Home (175 VFW Rd, Cornelia, GA 30531). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at the VFW Memorial Park (1492 Smith Loop, Demorest, GA 30535).
