It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Lamar Frankum of Demorest, Georgia, born in Clarkesville, Georgia, who passed away on April 10, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Lloyd Frankum and Lucy Eller Frankum; his children, Keith Frankum and Jamie Frankum; his granddaughter Jordan "Kodie" Frankum; and his siblings, Lloyd, Paul Frankum and Verona Jones.

He is survived by : his wife Jean Sutton Frankum of Demorest; his children, Jodi Rosser of Demorest, Tim Frankum of Demorest and Scott Frankum of Turnerville; his brother Doug Frankum of Clarkesville; his grandchildren, Noah Rosser, Breelin, Landon Reece, Nathan Wilson, Natalie Sutton, Tyler Frankum, Taylor Frankum, Jake Frankum, Tim Frankum, Brittany Frankum, Ryan Frankum and Corey Frankum; and his great grandchildren, Chloe, Mason, Wyatt Frankum, Kinsley, Brayden Frankum, Georgia Frankum, Iris Frankum and Everlee Rosser.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Memorial Park Funeral Home (2030 Memorial Park Dr, Gainesville, GA 30504). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Return Baptist Church (915 GA-105, Demorest, GA 30535).
