She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Bruce Ramsey and Addie Lee English Ramsey; her husband Garrison Henry Thurmond; her son Eric Garrison Thurmond; and her siblings, Kenneth "Casey" Ramsey, Rod "Bobby" Ramsey and Reba Ramsey Burrell.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie (David Hallford), Kevin (Deborah Thurmond) and Alan (Christi Thurmond); and her grandchildren, Amy, Ryan Thomas, Josh, Kristy Hallford, Steven, Faith Hallford, Kevin, Haley Queen, Mallory, Austin Henson, Matthew Thurmond and Jacob Thurmond. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Fairfield Baptist Church (2236 GA-105, Demorest, GA 30535). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 2:45 PM to 3:00 PM at the Fairfield Baptist Church Cemetery (2236 GA-105, Demorest, GA 30535).
