He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie B. Howard and Lois Cheney Howard; and his brother Charles Gene Howard. He is survived by: his wife Alice Plunkett Howard of Demorest; his daughter Pauline; his son-in-law Bill Bursztynski of Madisonville, KY; his son Andy; his daughter-in-law Tammy Howard of Demorest; and his sister Cherry Douglas of Alabama. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
