He is survived by: his wife Brenda Byers Franklin; his children, Dewey (Danita Franklin), Benjamin Franklin, Shelia (Chris Brown), Tammy Skelton (Danny Lance), Jennifer (Terry Pitts), Christy Jones, Nicole Franklin, Lakeeta Porterfield Smith (Benjamin Smith) and Makenzie Franklin; and his siblings, Harold Franklin, Mary Ann Fry, Patricia Ann Swafford, Lear Mae Gudger, Annette Watts and Greta Weaver. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren; & 33 great-grandchildren.
