She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Ricketson and Fannie Lott Ricketson; her husband James Tate; her siblings, Vilas Ricketson, Mary Alice Ricketson, Ivella Smith Gillum, Dorothy Griffin Thurman, Ruby Johnson of Juanita Foskey, J. M, Wanell McCallum, Waymon Ricketson and Charles Ricketson (Duppy); and her nephew Rob Foskey.
She is survived by: her children, James Emory Tate (Betty Sue) and Shari Johnson (Chris); her grandchildren, Jamie Tate (Becky), Andy Tate (Candice), Jonathan Johnson (Kayla), Aimee Kaltenbach (Josh), Jay, Drew, Peyton, Jaxon Tate, Andrew, Caroline, Lydia, Julianne Johnson, Robert and Caleb Kaltenbach; and her sisters-in-law, Kay Francis Ricketson and Dot Ricketson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church or Community Hospice of Vidalia.
