He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Jordan and Annie Mae Henry Kersey; his wife Barbara Rhodes Kersey; and his daughter Leslie Swain. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Michael Watson (Melissa) of Dexter, Sierra Richardson (Shelton) of Soperton and Ridge Swain of Soperton; his great grandchildren, MJ Richardson, Zoe Hagan and Zachary Jett; and his siblings, Darlene K. McDaniel of Kite, Sheila Clark of Swainsboro and Randall Kersey of Swainsboro.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mount Carmel Baptist Church (2605 Mt Carmel Church Rd, Dexter, GA 31019). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Mount Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery (GA-338, Dexter, GA 31019).
