She was predeceased by: her parents, Reverend James Asberry McCall and Loyl Louvicie Meadows McCall; her husband Oliver Earnest Harrell; her daughter Dorothy Jean Harrell Baxter; her great grandchild Shelby Eleana Baxter; her sisters, Gertrude Odom, Natherlena Brown and Rochelle McCall; and her close friends, Inez Hanna and Marjorie Burke.
She is survived by: her grandsons, Jeff Aaron Baxter (Janet Lynn Ivey), Jacob Harrell "Cobb" Baxter, Joe Exotic and Calvin Brelove of Malone; her siblings, Elizabeth Payne of Pontotoc, MS, Betty Webb (Georgia) of Douglasville, Bud McCall (Joyce) of Jackson, Margie Lou Black (Ron) of Marietta and Brenda McCall of Jackson; her close friends, Cheryl Belisle, Patty Freeman, Reyna Butler of Donalsonville and Georgia; and also Clifton Baxter. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home (2635 GA-253, Donalsonville, GA 39845). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers Doris requested that donations are made to the cemetery fund of Spring Creek Baptist Church.
