He was predeceased by: his parents, Grady Hartzog and Gertrude Hartzog; his sister Mary Mathis; and his nephews, Lil'James Hudson and Patrick Hudson.
He is survived by: his children, James Hartzog (Christina) of Enterprise, AL and Deanna Tomlinson (Richard) of Donalsonville, GA; his sister Betty Hudson (Tommy) of Killarney, GA; his grandchildren, Latricia Peterson, Jonathan Rentz and Whitney Brown (Cameron); and his great grandchild Carsen Brown. He is also survived by Several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and great great nieces and great great nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home (909 S Tennille Ave, Donalsonville, GA 39845). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
