He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Woodfin Routon and Bessie Mae Rollins Routon; his wife Charlotte Madsen Routon; his son George Finley Routon; and his siblings, Rachael Routon Carden, Doris Routon Clark, Abner Charlie Routon, Benjamin Berry Routon, J. Woodfin Routon, Lewis Argo Routon and Reeves Caple Routon.
He is survived by: his daughter Linda Routon Lefebvre (Stephen); his daughter-in-law Dawn Nason Routon (Dodie); and his grandchildren, Madsen Lee Routon, Amanda Lefebvre Marten, David Finley Routon and Alicia Lauren Lefebvre. He is also survived by numerous nieces, great nieces and nephews.
