He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred C. Barrs Sr. and Beatie Pearl Lott Barrs; his son David Kevin Barrs; and his siblings, Johnnie Mae Crews and Jerry Wayne Barrs.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Sue Barrs of Douglas, Three; his sons, Craig Anthony Barrs (Sherri) of Douglas, GA, Jeffery DeWayne Barrs (Kelly) of Nicholls, GA and Ray Odum Jr. (Cheryl) of Douglas, GA; his grandchildren, Netania Barrs, Tyler Barrs, Shianna Barrs, Kelsi Barrs, Jason Odum, Michael Odum, Ryan Lewis and Crystal McGowan; and his sister Shirley Wright (Gerald "Pud") of Douglas, GA. He is also survived by Several Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 15th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Sims Funeral Home (201 N Peterson Ave, Douglas, GA 31533). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Grace Baptist Church (1208 E Walker St, Douglas, GA 31533).
