In the vast expanse of eternity, Garland shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Garland farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Preston Lamar Whiddon and Mary Frances Wise Whiddon; and his sister-in-law Sherry Whiddon. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Marie Vickers Whiddon of Douglas, Georgia; his sons, Jason Garland Whiddon (Kayla) of Douglas and Benjamin "Benjy" Wiley Whiddon of Douglas, Georgia; his grandchildren, Embry Anna Whiddon and Eason Asher Whiddon of Douglas, Georgia; and his siblings, Glenda Whiddon Adams (Ken) of Sylvester, Gary Whiddon of Ashburn, Georgia and George Whiddon (Sandra) of Ashburn, Georgia. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
