She was predeceased by: her parents, Elige Jacob Kight (EJ) and Clara Mae Beecher Kight; her grandchildren, Lisa Marie Stone and William Galen Skipper; and her brother Sheldon E. Kight.
She is survived by: her husband Rodney Courson Sr. of Douglas, GA; her children, Selina Hatton (Stuart) of Denton, GA, Sherri Skipper (Bill) of Douglas, GA, Buddy McLeod (Kristy) of Douglas, GA and Rev. Rodney Courson Jr. (Laran); and her sister Carolyn Adams of Cleveland, GA. She is also survived by Thirteen Grandchildren, Thirteen Great-Grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Sims Funeral Home (201 N Peterson Ave, Douglas, GA 31533). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bethal Church.
