It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hershell Lee Jones Sr. of Douglas, Georgia, who passed away on December 3, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas E. Jones and Elizabeth Marie Jones. He is survived by: his wife Samantha Jessie Lee Jones of Douglas, GA; his children, Michael Jones (Melissa) of Douglas, GA, Hershell Lee Jones Jr. (Michelle) of Douglas, GA and Michele Ragans (Lance); his grandchildren, Misty Nichole Jones, Mikey Jones, Cole Harrell (Kasey), Leah Streat (Ryan), Courtney Fuller (Richard), Amanda Woodall (Scott), Jaci Jones and Madison Jones; his sisters, Fillis Branch of Hazlehurst, GA, Alice Wilcox (Maxwell) of Hazlehurst, GA and Debbie Quinn (Larry) of Hazlehurst, GA; his extended family Walter Lee Joiner (Gina-Gail); and his children, Elizabeth Marie Jones of Two Brothers, B. J. Jones and Wayne Jones. He is also survived by Fourteen Great-Grandchildren.
In Lieu of Flowers, the family would like for all donations to be given to Coffee County Childhood Cancer Awareness Society.
