He was predeceased by: his grandson Jesse Cole Gardner; and his siblings, Bobby Flowers and Agnus Woods. He is survived by: his wife Rose Gardner of Douglas; his children, Don Gardner (Jenna) of Millwood and Brandi Simmons (Chad) of Pensacola; his siblings, Ricky Newmans (Aletha) of Willacoochee and Bonnie Jernigan (Phil) of Douglas; and his grandchildren, McKade Gardner, Annley Gardner, Sam Taylor, Jake Taylor and Tinley Taylor.
