She was predeceased by : her parents, William Henry Bailey, Jr. (Bill) and Bobbie Blocker Bailey of Douglas; her siblings, Elaine Bailey Papadam of Athens, Vivian Bailey Spivey of Douglas and Bob Bailey of Moultrie; and her former life partner Jim Minix.

She is survived by : her son Lance Minix (Amanda); her grandsons, Brice and Blake; her daughter Melissa (David Strickland); her stepgranddaughters, Chelsea and Jamie; her stepgreat-grandson Morgan Fountain; her husband Wayne Raulerson; her stepdaughter Rebecca (Remsen Parrish); her stepgrandson J. R.; her brother Henry Bailey; and her family, Missy and Lance.

Contributions in Joan's memory may be made to First Baptist Church in Douglas, GA.
