She was predeceased by: her parents, Bud Morgan and Virginia Nettles Morgan. She is survived by: her son Josh Simmons (Stephanie) of Douglas, GA; her sisters, Thelma Anderson (Jerry) of Nicholls, GA, Deborah Lee (Darowyn) of Bickley, GA and Rhoda Kirkland (Clyde) of Douglas, GA; her stepdaughter Angie Simmons; her grandson Isaac Waters; her stepson Scott Simmons; her children, Virginia Nettles Morgan, Wesley "Pee Wee" Morgan and Frank Merritt; and her sister Linda Nails. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Sims Funeral Home (201 N Peterson Ave, Douglas, GA 31533). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Sims Chapel (201 N Peterson Ave, Douglas, GA 31533).
