He was predeceased by: his parents, J. D. Jowers and Annie Vickers Jowers; his son Johnny Dwayne Jowers; his former wife Gaile Nash Jowers; and his siblings, Jimmy Jowers, June J. Grimes and Joyce J. Carter.
He is survived by: his wife Vonice Harrell Jowers of Douglas, Georgia; his children, Tammy Raulerson (Harmon) of Blackshear, Howell Cullens (Kim) of Eatonton, Barbara Crosby (Derrick) of Waycross, Mark Harrell of Douglas and Cheri McKinnon (Hamp) of Douglas, Georgia; and his grandchildren, Scott Tanner, Jr., Nash Cullens, Will Cullens, Luke Crosby, Liam Crosby, Brian McKinnon, Chance Harrell and Jesse Harrell. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Harrell Grove Baptist Church (1034 Church Rd Ext, Douglas, GA 31535). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at the Greenlawn Cemetery - Waycross (5000 Brunswick Hwy, Waycross, GA 31503).
