Joy Dickson Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joy Dickson (Douglas, Georgia), who passed away on April 22, 2020, at the age of 47, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Leon, Maggie Harrell, Israel and Ludell Merritt Christian. She is survived by: her husband Jack F. Dickson of Douglas, GA; her son Trever Jackie Dickson of Douglas, GA; her parents, Ralph Christian and Ruth Christian of Broxton, GA; her brothers, Walter S. Christian of Griffin, GA and Luke Christian (Nicole) of Milton, GA; her siblings' children, Wade Christian, Jackson Christian, Logan Christian, Carter Christian, Powell Christian, Collette Christian, Emma Kate Dobbins, Cameron Dickson and Mason Dickson; her brothers-in-law, John Dickson (Jami) of LaGrange, GA, Jamey Dickson of LaGrange, GA and Tim Dickson of LaGrange, GA; her parents-in-law, Marilyn and Jackie Dickson of LaGrange, GA; and her pet Scooter. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles and other relatives.

Due to the current Coronavirus outbreak a private family visitation will be held with a graveside service planned for 2:00pm Saturday, April 25, 2020 at Reedy Branch Church Cemetery with Rev. Jeremy Cox officiating. Attendees are asked to bring lawn chairs and comply with the current guidelines and restrictions concerning containment of the Coronavirus, including social distancing.
