In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Robert leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Robert may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Desso Surrency and Emily Varnedore Surrency; and his grandson Rodney Dillon Surrancy. He is survived by: his children, Teresa F. Surrency (Reyes) of Douglas, GA, Bobbie Jo Surrency (Luis) of Douglas, GA, Abby Gail Surrency (Victor) of Douglas, GA, Cynthia Marie Price (John) of Sparks, GA, Brittany Surrency of Douglas, GA and Robert Desso Surrency Jr.; and his sister Linda Taylor (Larry). He is also survived by Eleven Grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sims Chapel (201 N Peterson Ave, Douglas, GA 31533). A memorial service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sims Funeral Home (201 N Peterson Ave, Douglas, GA 31533).
