He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee Cockfield and Dora Lee Adams Cockfield; his siblings, Willie James Thompson, Eunice Cockfield, Dora Jean Davis, Sylvia Allen and Willa Dean Johnson; and his wife Patricia Mathis Cockfield.

He is survived by: his friend Gable; his children, Warren Cockfield, Jr., Bridgett Cockfield, Elona Owens (Andreas), Tina Wright-Stewart (Roderick), Tarsha Cockfield, Cathy Williams (David), Stephanie Newsome (Kenneth), Wone Cockfield, Adrian Cockfield (Sabrina), Jamie Cockfield, Iris Mathis and Sebastian Mathis; his brother Jerome Cockfield; and his sisters-in-law, Janice Thompson and Mary Johnson. He is also survived by 43 grandchildren and 69 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, loved ones, and friends.

Viewing was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Hol Holy Disciple Outreach Ministries (2510 Hilltop Dr, Albany, GA 31701).
