He is survived by: his wife Lynn Maddox Purvis of Douglas, GA; his children, Shayne Purvis (Debbie) of Douglas, GA, Bruce Purvis (Amber) of Douglas, GA and LeAnn Purvis Jackson of Birmingham; his grandchildren, Buddy Watkins (Jordan), Ashley Payne (Chip), Mallory Jackson, Bella Purvis, Colt Jackson, Will Purvis and Emmalyn Purvis; his great grandchildren, Axton Payne and Lloyd Payne; his sisters, Agnes Futch and Janice Cribb; his siblings-in-law, Nelly Purvis, Beverly Wyatt (Tim), David Maddox and Chuck Maddox (Kim); and his parents-in-law, Sara Barganier and Truett Maddox (Jean). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
