He is survived by: his wife Glenda Faye Burch Gardner of Douglas, Georgia; his children, William Glenn Gardner, Jr. (Lin Smith) of Axson, Gwendolyn McDaniel (Chris) of Millwood, GA and Grant Gardner (Genevieve Betts) of Douglas, Georgia; his grandchildren, Will Gardner (Darah Boyd) of Douglas, Seth McDaniel of Douglas, Nick Gardner (Tiffany Margerson) of Douglas, Peyton Gardner of Douglas, Genna Gardner of Douglas and Aubree Gardner of Douglas, Georgia; his great grandchildren, Ruby Gardner, Paxton Gardner, Ava Gardner and Kailyn Gardner; and his sister Lena McQuaig of Douglas, Georgia. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.
