She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon W. Harrell and Maggie Smith Harrell; her husband Nicholas Brinson Kirkland, Jr.; and her siblings, Faye Harrell Freeman, Robinelle Anderson, J. L. Harrell, Herbert Harrell, Edwin Harrell, Latrelle Atwood and Nettiemae Hattaway.
She is survived by: her children, Bruce Kirkland (Tonya) of Fernandina and Amy Elizabeth Kirkland Harper of Douglas, Georgia; her grandchildren, Eric Kirkland (Katie), Cody Kirkland Lonna Bohannon, Sasha Moseley and Michael L. Moseley, II; and her siblings, John D. Harrell of Vidalia and Ruth Christian (Ralph) of Broxton. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
