He was predeceased by: his parents, Hilmon Barton and Eula Mae Hawkins Barton; his son Darrell Wayne Barton; his brother Billy Barton; and his grandmother Nannie Hawkins.
He is survived by: his wife Georgianna "Skip" Barton; his children, Cheryl Henry (Andy) of Durham, NC, Debbie Aslinger (Steve) of Marietta and Bobby Barton (Mendy) of Douglasville; and his grandchildren, Catherine Aslinger, Abigail Warmack (Derek), Elizabeth Aslinger, Spencer Barton, Samuel Henry and Olivia Barton.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the First Presbyterian Church Scholarship Fund (9190 Campbellton Street, Douglasville, GA 30134).
