He was predeceased by: his parents, James Robert Vaughn and Jewel Mae Wright Vaughn; his son Robert Vaughn; and his brothers, Daniel Vaughn and James Vaughn.
He is survived by: his wife Emily Breland Vaughn; his daughter Pam McMichen (Rusty); his brother Kenneth Vaughn; his grandsons, Alan McMichen (Cassie) and Alex McMichen (Amanda); and his great grandchildren, Madelyn and Lily.
