He was predeceased by: his parents, Morris Wentz and Anne Pettus Wentz; his wife Rosemary Lee Wentz; and his sister Shirley Edmondson. He is survived by: his sons, David Wentz (Rita) and Scott Wentz (Donna); his grandchildren, Jeffrey Wentz, Josh Wentz (Kenya), Jennifer Wentz, Austin Wentz (Cheyenne) and Gage Wentz (Gracie); his great grandchildren, Charlotte Wentz, Lynnleigh Wentz and Bennett Wentz; his brother-in-law Jim Edmondson; and his sibling's children, Cathy Wedell and Billy Edmondson.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Central Baptist Church Cemetery (5811 Central Church Rd, Douglasville, GA 30135).
