He was predeceased by: his parents, Halmon Collett and Lorene Bartlett Collett; his wife Martha Diane Collett; and his brothers, Bobby Collett and Jimmy Collett.

He is survived by: his children, Joyce Tischer, John Collett (Rhonda), Buddy Collett (Virginia) and Cathy Davis (Randy); his siblings, Patsy King and Donald Collett; and his half-siblings, Brenda Roberts and Mark Collett. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
