She is survived by: her husband James Thomas Sims; her children, James Darin Sims (Leigh), Thomas Darrell Sims (Sheri) and Mica Sue Sims Carter (Jake); her grandchildren, Lauren LaPointe (Spencer), Nick Sims (Dannie), Dillon Sims (Haley), Blair Carter (Morgan), Peyton Childers (Troy) and Levi Briscoe Sims; and her great grandchildren, Sawyer, Xander, Wyatt and Wes.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer's Association.
