He is survived by: his mother Emma Jean Mitchell Guy; his daughters, Emily Shipp (Justin) and Tabatha Byrd; his sister Julie Brown; his grandchildren, Jaxon Post, Dylan Henry, Ryder Shipp, Tyler Byrd, Xander Byrd and Riley Byrd; and his niece Alexis Casto (Andrew). He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, extended family.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Calendar Jones-Wynn - Douglas Chapel (2189 Midway Rd, Douglasville, GA 30135). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at the Calendar Sunrise Memorial Gardens (11261 Veterans Memorial Hwy, Douglasville, GA 30134).
