She was predeceased by: her parents, Elsie Allen and Grant Allen of Tallapoosa, Georgia; her husband Clifton C. Dixon; and her siblings, Frances Kelley and Jack Allen.

She is survived by: her sister Joyce Conner; her daughters, Verline Dennis and Sandra Chatham (Lamar); her grandchildren, Mike Dennis (Gail), Deanna Dennis, Steve Heaton, Sam Heaton (Bonnie) and Andy Bond (Wendy); and her great grandchildren, Ryne Dennis, Kelley Thomas (Jamie), Tiffany Henderson (Lee), Chelsie Stehlik (Cory), Nikki Davis (Taylor), Halle Levasseur, Zach Bond, Kristina Bond, Taylor Deddens, Jeff Deddens and Sarah Deddens.
