He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Walter Hofele and Elizabeth Morris Hofele; his wife Betty Ruth Rivers Hofele; and his sister Bonigail Hofele. He is survived by: his son Karl; his daughter-in-law Regina Hofele of Douglasville; his daughter Cheryl; his son-in-law Jeffery Titterington; and his grandchildren, Matthew Arne (Karyssa), Justin Turney (Kristen), Holly Carpenter, Chad Hall (Ashley), Brandon Hall (Montana) and Samuel Hall (Lauren). He is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
He obtained his Juris Doctorate Degree at Georgia State, where his contributions to the field were marked by his unwavering integrity and dedication to justice.
